This Land Rover Series 1 was his grandfather's old farm vehicle bought in 1957. The owner remembers when he was 4 or 5 how 'Oupa' would load all the kids and head out to “gaan kyk hoe die beeste lyk.”

'Oupa' had worked on this beauty for all the years until he retired. 

The owner recalls that all the kids learnt how to drive in this vehicle and with his younger sister last lesson the vehicle ended against a tree. This vehicle had dents on the body from small farm working injuries.

Joshua stripped this 'Ou vuil bakkie' and started with the firewall while Stefan gave the loyal 2.25 engine a good overall. All wiring and instruments were rewired and works like new. The interior was recovered and when she was handed back to the owner we could see that 'Oupa' would have been proud.
